International Launch Services Sponsors APSCC 2006 Conference | ||
| SEOUL, Sept. 27, 2006 -- International Launch Services sponsored the third annual awards dinner for the Asia-Pacific Satelite Communciations Council (APSCC) conference. ILS' Thomas Carroll, vice president Asia-Pacific, welcomed more than 400 guests to the dinner. APSCC presented two awards. | ||
| For the Satellite Executive of the Year Award, Peter Jackson, president of Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co. Ltd. was recognized for his dedication to the satellite industry and humanitarian efforts in rural telecommunications expansion. | ||
| The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Keiji Tachikawa, president of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) for his direction and insight into space activities and development within Japan. | ||
| Carroll also represented ILS on the launch services panel at the conference, where he stressed the outstanding launch experience and focus on customer requirements that ILS provides to its customers. | ||
