Today, April 30, 2016 marks 100 years since the inception of Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Research and Production Space Center MV Khrunichev (Khrunichev), one of the core enterprises of the Russian space industry and  one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of rocket and space technology.

The Space Symposium has brought together space leaders from around the world to discuss, address and plan for the future of space since the inaugural event in 1984. With 11,000 participants, The Space Symposium has become widely known as the premier U.S. space policy and program hosting representatives from global commercial, government, civil and military programs.

Khrunichev Space Center: Celebrating 20 Years of Commercial Launch with Proton

Twenty years ago, the Proton K Launch Vehicle became the first Russian rocket to enter the global commercial launch services market.

Proton K commercial operations began on April 9, 1996 with the successful launch of the Astra 1F telecommunications satellite built by Hughes for the European operator SES. Injection to the target orbit was performed by the DM Upper Stage manufactured by RSC Energia.

ILS AND KHRUNICHEV MARK THE 15-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF SUCCESSFUL FLIGHT OF PROTON M/BREEZE M

The Ekran-M satellite was successfully separated from the rocket's Breeze M upper stage into geostationary orbit about 7 hours after lift off.

Khrunichev Space Center: Proton M Successfully Launches Russian Express-AM8 satellite

On 14 September at 10:00:00 pm Moscow Time, Proton-M ILV lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome to orbit Express-AM8, a Russian communications satellite. This year, it is Proton’s fifth launch, and the second to inject an Express-AM-series spacecraft in 2015.

The launch vehicle liftoff and flight proceeded nominally. At the appropriate time the orbital block (spacecraft + DM-03 upper stage) separated from LV Stage III and continued its autonomous mission. Subsequently, the spacecraft was injected to the target orbit using the upper stage main engine.

Khrunichev Space Center Named Best Young Employees of 2012

KhSC’s Youth Council announced the results of the annual Best Young Employee contest for 2012.
 
Twelve KhSC employees representing Salyut Design Bureau, Space Rocket Factory (RKZ) and "Khrunichev Telecom" who scored the most points in the qualifying stage of the contest entered the final part of the competition. Young professionals addressed the panel chaired by the Deputy Director General for Personnel E.M. Karachenkov. The finalists spoke about their accomplishments and results for 2012.
