Frank McKenna

President

McKenna became president in October 2006, after two years as vice president and deputy at ILS. He has more than three decades of experience in aerospace and space launch businesses, with Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin Corp., which was a partner in ILS until October 2006. McKenna's background includes business management, business development and strategy, several CFO positions, and domestic and international joint ventures. McKenna holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stetson University in Deland, Fla.

Wendy Mihalic

Vice President - Marketing, Sales & Communications

Mihalic, who leads the ILS Marketing, Sales and Communications Department, has been a member of the ILS sales team since its inception in 1995. She has more than 20 years' experience in launch service sales account management, business development and strategic planning. She began her career with General Dynamics Space Systems Co. in San Diego, Calif., and moved to GD's Commercial Launch Services division upon its formation. This division ultimately became part of ILS. Wendy has held increasingly responsible positions within ILS, most recently deputy for Marketing and Sales. Mihalic has a bachelor of science degree in public administration from San Diego State University and an MBA from National University.

Phil Slack

CFO & Vice President - Finance

Prior to joining ILS in March 2000, Slack was Director of Business Management for The Boeing Company. His career with Boeing began in 1988 as a Contract Specialist, progressing to Contracts Manager, as well as several Senior Manager positions in Contracts and Pricing during his 12-year tenure there. Slack gained his experience in contract administration while at Northrop Corporation.

Tom Tshudy

Vice President & General Counsel

Prior to joining ILS in June 1998, Tshudy served as Division Counsel for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space. Previous positions include Director of Business Management for Reusable Launch Vehicle Programs and Group General Counsel at McDonnell Douglas Corporation and six years on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate Corps.

Jim Bonner

CTO & Vice President - Programs and Operations

Bonner has overall responsibility for program management and technical operations and for managing the production of the Proton Breeze M in conjunction with ILS partner Khrunichev, to ensure quality hardware is delivered on time. Bonner has more than 28 years of multidiscipline engineering and management experience in spacecraft and launch vehicle design, manufacture, test and launch. Prior positions include launch vehicle program director at ILS and Lockheed Martin, as well as factory test manager for the Atlas/Centaur with General Dynamics Space Systems.
