Title: Contracts Manager

Description of the Position:

• Manages the complete function of complex international commercial agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and customer requirements while maintaining the highest ethical standards throughout the contract process.
• Understands basic principles of finance, accounting, marketing, management and stays abreast of contracting and legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and the industry allowing for current advice on compliance matters.
• Balances numerous projects concurrently while successfully working directly with clients and staff.
• Requires travel. 
• May require working nights, weekends, holidays as mission requires

Responsibilities:

• Responding to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.
• Preparing commercial price proposals, negotiate high-value agreements and managing customer relationships, performing post-execution contract management, problem solving, identifying risk exposures, coordinating and responding to launch insurance inquiries and issues. 
• Interfacing with internal and external customers and management as well as external customers and tracking contractual issues and financials, and evaluating financial and risk implications of potential contract restructuring actions, identifying risk and issues, suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution.
• Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications to ensure all terms and conditions are met.
• Develop and integrate contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the engagement

{Nice to Have}

• Comprehensive knowledge of government and commercial contracting regulations, principles, and subcontracting practices.
• Legal graduate degree in business or finance and or experience in the commercial space industry.
• CPCM certification.
• Interest in space, rockets and satellites a plus.

 Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in applicable contracting experience.
• Must have solid transactions, contracts drafting, and negotiation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Advanced degree a plus.
• Only US resident respondents with at least a four year college degree, substantial experience in contracting, strong computer skills, and that can pass a background check.  Preferred qualifications include a legal or graduate degree in a relevant field, financial experience and/or experience in the commercial space industry.
