Russian Government Announces State Commission Members
 
 The Russian Government announced on Sept. 11 the members of the State Commission that will investigate the Proton-M/JCSAT-11 launch failure. The chairman and deputy chairman are, respectively, the director and deputy director of the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos). Other representatives include high-level officials and experts from Khrunichev Space Center, the Baikonur Space Center, industry, the military, emergency services, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency and the Russian Insurance Center.
  
 Members of the commission, according to the federal government announcement, are as follows:

  • Vasily Asmus, director, State Enterprise, Research Center of Space Hydro-Meteorology "Planeta";
  • Oleg Bozshennikov, chief of laboratory, State Enterprise, Research and Production Association "Typhoon";

  • B. Ivanochkin, chief adviser to director of the 3rd Department on the CIS, Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry;
