Another successful launch: Anik F3, April 2007
What an exciting year we’ve had at ILS so far in 2007! In the January LIFTOFF letter, I reflected on all the changes of 2006 and set our focus for the new year. That focus was performance across the board, winning new business and executing our contracts and providing true customer value. Our team can be proud to say that we not only successfully met those goals, but exceeded them by an unprecedented margin.

With the first half of the year barely behind us, we have signed contracts for 13 launches, bringing our total backlog to 21 launches through 2013. We’ve added over $1 billion in backlog since the beginning of the year. Those are impressive numbers by any measure. I believe this is a direct result of a core business objective of ILS: Focus on Performance, and Customer Confidence will follow.
