Proton Launches Express AM3 Spacecraft |
Baikonur Cosmodrome, June 25 - A Proton launch vehicle successfully deployed the Express AM-3 communications satellite. This was the fourth Proton launch of 2005. A Proton Breeze M successfully lifted the DIRECTV 8 satellite into orbit on 22 May under International Launch Services. Built by Khrunichev State Research and Production Center in Moscow, Proton is one of the premier launch systems in the world. |
