ILS Proton Successfully Launches Anik F3 Satellite

Marking the 40th joint Proton launch with its Russian partner Khrunichev, International Launch Services (ILS) successfully placed the Anik F3 satellite into orbit on April 9 (April 10, Baikonur) with a Proton Breeze M rocket.

 

Final Details of the Launch and Separation

  • Liftoff occurred in Baikonur on Tuesday, April 10 at 4:54 a.m. local time (6:54 p.m. Monday EDT, 22:54 Monday GMT).
  • Orbit Parameters: Predicted: 5500 km x 35786 km x 11.0 deg, Actual: 5495.5 km x 35792.5 km x 11.006 deg
  • Nominal separation took place at 08:05 GMT, on April 10.
