INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH SERVICES PROTON SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES THE AMAZONAS 5 SATELLITE

International Launch Services (ILS), a leading launch services provider for the global commercial satellite industry, successfully delivered the Amazonas 5 satellite into orbit today on an ILS Proton for HISPASAT. It was the second HISPASAT satellite launched on ILS Proton.

ILS ANNOUNCES ARRIVAL OF ASIASAT 9 SATELLITE AT THE BAIKONUR COSMODROME

The AsiaSat 9 satellite for Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) of Hong Kong, arrived at the Baikonur Cosmdrome in Kazakhstan aboard an Antonov cargo jet on August 27 in preparation for mission integration and launch aboard an ILS Proton Breeze M launch vehicle in September. AsiaSat 9 will be the third ILS Proton launch in 2017.

ILS, a leader in launch services for over 22 years, markets Proton Breeze M, Proton Medium, and Angara 1.2 launch services to satellite operators worldwide. “I’ve been fortunate to work alongside Peter for many years in the launch business. He is a proven leader with a solid record of accomplishment in establishing and building partnerships across the industry.

Khrunichev Space Center: The 100th launch of the Proton M was successfully completed

On August 17, 2017 at 01:07 Moscow time from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Proton Breeze M launch vehicle successfully launched a spacecraft into the orbit in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The launch was the 100th heavy lift for Proton M, which has been in use since 2001, and the 414th launch in the Proton rocket since its maiden flight in 1965.

Next Stop, Baikonur: The teams of ILS, KhSC, EchoStar and SSL conducted a successful pre-launch meeting in Moscow today at the Proton Hotel. Then it’s wheels up tomorrow for the charter to the launch site.

The annual SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition attracts executives across the industry for networking, conference sessions and panels, special events. ILS ANNOUNCES TWO MISSIONS UNDER ITS EUTELSAT MULTI-LAUNCH AGREEMENT FOR PROTON BREEZE M AND PROTON VARIANT MISSIONS

International Launch Services (ILS) announces its first commercial shared launch using a Proton Breeze M with the EUTELSAT 5 West B satellite and MEV-1, the first Mission Extension Vehicle (MEV) developed by Orbital ATK.  In addition, ILS is pleased to announce the first commercial contract incorporating the use of the newly announced Proton Medium launch vehicle. Both launches are for Eutelsat Communications, one of the world’s leading satellite operators, headquartered in Paris, France.
