25th Anniversary of Glonass
 
 On October 12, 1982, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, a Proton launch vehicle put into orbit the first satellite of the Russian global navigation system Glonass.

Over the last quarter of a century, a vast array of spacecraft have been delivered. The completely expanded group of satellites consists of 24 spacecraft. System Glonass is intended for navigational use on the earth's surface, at sea, in the air and in space. With Glonass it is possible to determine the coordinates of users with an accuracy of 1 meter with a high degree of reliability and the accessibility under any operating conditions.
