The Yamal 401 spacecraft was delivered to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazahstan this afternoon by an Antonov cargo jet.

The Yamal 401 spacecraft was manufactured for Russian satellite communications operator JSC Gazprom Space Systems by JSC Information Satellite Systems Reshetnev with components of the payload and the platform supplied by Thales Alenia Space. Gazprom Space Systems provides communications and broadcasting services to Europe and Asia. Yamal 401 will be launched on board a Proton M Breeze M launch vehicle manufactured by Khrunichev State Research and Space Production Center in December.
