It’s here! The biggest satellite industry trade show of the year. This afternoon we had our ceremony for the signing of the Al Yah Satellite Communications Co. (Yahsat) contract. Even though the contract was formally signed at the end of 2007, we decided to celebrate it this week since all parties were going to be in town for the show.

International Launch Services, Thales Alenia Space and Astrium of Europe and Yahsat of the United Arab Emirates all are involved. The satellite will be launched on a Proton Breeze M vehicle. Based on the Astrium Eurostar 3000 bus, this spacecraft will provide both commercial and government services across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Southwest Asia.
