March 24, 2015, Moscow, Russia- Roscosmos has officially appointed Andrey Kalinovskiy the General Director (CEO) at Khrunichev Space Center (“KhSC” or “Khrunichev”). Kalinovskiy had been KhSC Acting General Director since August 2014.

Within a few days, the Head of Roscosmos, Igor Komarov, will sign the appropriate executive orders appointing Andrey Kalinovskiy the KhSC General Director.

FGUP Khrunichev Space Research & Production Center is a core company of Russia’s space industry and one of the world leaders in design and manufacture of rocket-and-space hardware. Under the Federal Space Program, KhSC is responsible for design, development, production, and operation of the Proton, Rockot, and Angara space launch systems.
 
Andrey Vladimirovich Kalinovskiy

Born 28 September in Izhevsk.

Graduated from the Engineering Department of Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 1986 as robotics technology engineer.

In 2003, he completed an international management program in the U.K.

1986 – 2002: at Izhevsk Mechanical Plant as process engineer, head of bureau, Deputy-Chief Process Engineer, Chief Process Engineer, and Deputy-Chief Engineer. At the time, the Plant was manufacturing guided anti-tank missiles, gyro systems for medium-range missiles, small arms and hunting weapons, micro-electronic equipment, etc.

2002 – 2007: at Rostselmash Company in Rostov, supervising the company reorganization, and launching the production of Vector, a new combine harvester.

From 2004: Deputy-Head of Klever Group, which developed and produced multiple new farm equipment products in the first three years of operations.

2007 – 2013: General Director, ОАО Chkalov Aircraft Association in Novosibirsk (“NAPO”), supervising the facility retooling, process upgrading, and personnel retraining. In the years of A.Kalinovskiy’ administration, NAPO launched serial manufacturing of SU-34 tactical bombers and Suchoi Superjet100 hull components.

In May 2011, while remaining the NAPO General Director, he was appointed First Vice-President for Production at ZАО Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, based in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where in-line assembly of Sukhoi Superjet 100 was started.

From 2013: President, ZАО Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company.

Since 8 August 2014: Khrunichev Acting General Director.
