On Monday, November 10, the Angara 5 heavy lift launch vehicle was rolled out to the Pad at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. Within seven days, Cosmodrome specialists will conduct comprehensive tests including electrical testing of systems and components in preparation for the readiness of the first launch of the heavy class Angara 5 at the end of December.

For Russia, the creation of the Angara family of launch vehicles is a task of special importance. Angara will have the flexibililty to launch a variety of spacecraft from the territory of Russia.

Complex government customers include the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and the Russian Federal Space Agency, the developer of the Angara launch system is the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center.
