CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla., July 21, 2004 — The launch of an Atlas IIAS vehicle with a national security payload has been rescheduled to Aug. 31 to allow time to replace components in an avionics unit on the vehicle.
Engineers are replacing transistors in a Remote Control Unit (RCU), which is used to control several critical functions on the launch vehicle.
