Reston, VA., November 15, 2012 – International Launch Services (ILS), a leading commercial launch services provider, has announced its receipt of two international silver Davey Awards for website design. The awards, given in the categories of Professional Services and Small Business, were presented to ILS earlier this month.

The newly redesigned website was launched in 2011 and created in partnership with Balance Interactive, a web development and design consultancy firm located in Springfield, Virginia. The website showcases an interactive and user-friendly design for featuring company updates and educational material on the commercial launch industry.

The international Davey Awards honors outstanding creative work from small firms worldwide. Members of The International Academy of the Visual Arts, an organization of leading professionals from media, advertising and marketing firms, judge and oversee each category in the competition. The 2012 Davey Awards received nearly 4,000 entries.

“This year’s winners truly represent a smart, nimble approach to creativity and embody the quick thinking, resourceful nature that make small agencies so unique” noted Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA. She added, “On behalf of the entire International Academy of Visual Arts, I want to thank this year’s Davey Awards entrants and winners for sharing their amazing capabilities and talents, allowing us to once again highlight the best small firms worldwide.”

About the Davey Awards:
The Davey Awards is an international creative award focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms worldwide. The 2012 Davey Awards received nearly 4,000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms and public relations firms.

David defeated the mighty Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. That is the sort of thing small firms do every day. The Davey Awards honors the achievement of the “Creative David’s” where strength comes from ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking, not a “Giant’s” bankroll. Great work is about fresh ideas and exceptional execution, not the biggest budgets. The Davey levels the playing field so entrants compete with only their peers and can win the recognition they deserve.
