Baikonur Cosmodrome, October 30, 2004 — A Proton launch vehicle successfully deployed the Express-AM1 communications satellite at 8:45 a.m. Moscow Time. This was the seventh Proton launch of 2004.Built by Khrunichev State Research and Production Center in Moscow, Proton is one of the premier launch systems in the world.
