ILS is always thrilled to give back to the community. Our yearly goal during Thanksgiving is to donate 12 baskets of food to local non-profit organization Cornerstones which is based in Reston. This year we are delighted to announce that ILS donated 15 baskets.

“Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and we should always remember the good things in our life,” said ILS employee Ursula Jackson, the organizer of the food drive.

“Some of our neighbors need a helping hand so ILS is delighted to do our part. We are always happy to team up with a wonderful organization such as Cornerstones. We really appreciate all the good work that they do in the community.”

Cornerstones promotes self-sufficiency by providing support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other human services. For nearly 50 years, Cornerstones has been helping neighbors in need overcome tough economic times in an already high cost-of-living region.

ILS employees donated items such as canned fruit and vegetables, mac & cheese, snacks such as pretzels and chips, dessert mix boxes, cooking oil, gift cards and more.

“Last year we donated 11 baskets. I’m so proud of the team for stepping up this year and donating 15 baskets,” said Jackson.
