ILS Launches TDRS-I Satellite


CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla., March 8, 2002 — An Atlas IIA rocket placed a NASA communications satellite into orbit today, marking the 60th consecutive successful mission for the popular launch vehicle.


Atlas III Launch Successful in 1st ILS Mission of 2002


CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla., Feb. 21, 2002 – The second flight of the Atlas III rocket lifted off at 7:43 a.m. EST today and successfully delivered its EchoStar satellite payload into orbit, kicking off a busy year for International Launch Services (ILS).


Another Successful Proton Launch


Dec. 1, 2001 – The Proton K successfully launched the Uragan Satellites. The Uragan mission included three satellites launched into circular target orbit. It was the sixth and last Proton mission for the year.


ILS to Launch SUPERBIRD-6 on Atlas in 2003


McLEAN, Va., Oct. 30, 2001 – International Launch Services (ILS) and Space Communications Corp. (SCC) of Tokyo have signed a contract for launch of the SUPERBIRD-6 satellite in October 2003. Financial terms were not disclosed.
