SAN DIEGO, Sept. 27, 1996 – International Launch Services is proud to report another successful launch of a Proton launch vehicle on 26 September 1996, at 9:50 p.m., Moscow time. The “Express” satellite was launched by a 4 stage Proton launch vehicle. This Proton was launched from area 200 in Baikonur.

This launch is Proton’s seventh in 1996. Since 1994, twenty-six of twenty-seven Proton launches have been successful.
