BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, March 30, 2005 — A Proton launch vehicle successfully deployed the Express AM-2 communications satellite today. This was the second Proton launch of 2005. A Proton Breeze M successfully lifted the AMC-12 satellite into orbit on February 3 under International Launch Services.Built by Khrunichev State Research and Production Center in Moscow, Proton is one of the premier launch systems in the world.
