Khrunichev and Boeing Extend Cooperation; Khrunichev Receives Performance Excellence Award

UPDATED: Khrunichev Space Center, which commissioned the Boeing Company’s first block of the International Space Station (ISS), the Zarya Functional Cargo Block (FGB) more than 20 years ago, plans to extend cooperation with Boeing to further support the operation of the module. “Currently work is underway to conclude additional contracts with Boeing to ensure the operation of the module from 2021 to 2024,” stated Khrunichev’s press department.

KazSat-2 has been Providing TV Broadcasting in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 8 Years

July 16, 2011 was the first International Launch Services (ILS) Proton shared launch, successfully placing the SES-3 satellite and the KazSat-2 spacecraft into orbit. For eight years KazSat-2 has provided television broadcasting and data transmission in the KazSat satellite communications system in the interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan.


ILS in Moscow to Meet With Glavkosmos and GK Launch Services

ILS is in Moscow along with Glavkosmos and GK Launch Services representatives for a briefing regarding the Proton launch vehicle’s production quality. ILS President Kirk Pysher and Jim Kramer, Vice President, Engineering and Mission Assurance, were part of the panel.
