Khrunichev: Angara-A5 Launch Scheduled for December 2019

Khrunichev Space Center announced today that the heavy-lift Angara-A5 rocket is scheduled to launch this year in December. In addition, Khrunichev stated that there will be a total of six Proton launches in 2019. The ILS team is in Moscow this week for meetings with Eutelsat to discuss the Eutelsat 5 West B (E5WB) launch, in a dual-stack configuration along with the Northrop Grumman Mission Extension Vehicle-1 (MEV-1). The launch is scheduled to take place at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in 2019.

Launch Services Contract Secured For Eutelsat’s W4 Satellite

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 1, 2000 – International Launch Services (ILS), through its contracting entity Lockheed Martin Commercial Launch Services, has signed a contract with Eutelsat to launch the Eutelsat W4 communications satellite on the first Atlas III rocket. The launch is presently scheduled at Cape Canaveral Air Station, Florida,USA, for launch in late March/early April.

Atlas IIAS Successfully Launches EUTELSAT W3

CAPE CANAVERAL Air Station, Fla., April 12 1999 – A Lockheed Martin Astronautics Atlas IIAS rocket successfully launched the European W3 communication satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit this evening from Complex 36, Pad A. Liftoff occurred on time at 6:50 p.m. EDT. It was the second successful Atlas launch of 1999 from Cape Canaveral Air Station and the 43rd consecutive successful flight.
