Roscosmos Has Placed an Order of $31 Million for Angara 1.2 Light Rocket

The following is an article from TASS News Agency: Russia’s State Space Corporation Roscosmos has placed an order to the tune of 2 billion rubles ($31 million) for the manufacture of a light Angara-1.2 carrier rocket for the launch of Gonets-M satellites, according to the information posted on the government’s procurement website on Monday.

Khrunichev Holds Meeting to Discuss Angara Progress

Khrunichev Space Center held a meeting on February 27 in Omsk, Russia to discuss the progress of the Angara launch vehicles. The participants were briefed about the production schedule of the Angara-A5 and Angara-1.2 rockets.

Khrunichev: Angara-A5 Launch Scheduled for December 2019

Khrunichev Space Center announced today that the heavy-lift Angara-A5 rocket is scheduled to launch this year in December. In addition, Khrunichev stated that there will be a total of six Proton launches in 2019. The ILS team is in Moscow this week for meetings with Eutelsat to discuss the Eutelsat 5 West B (E5WB) launch, in a dual-stack configuration along with the Northrop Grumman Mission Extension Vehicle-1 (MEV-1). The launch is scheduled to take place at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in 2019.

MOSCOW, Nov. 14, 2018 – The following is a press release from Khrunichev Space Center: Khrunichev Center plans to make the second flight-ready heavy-lift Angara-A5 launcher available for shipment from the factory to the Plesetsk Cosmodrome for the second test launch in April 2019.

Khrunichev space center: preparations underway for serial production of Angara family of launch vehicles

Khrunichev Center (part of ROSCOSMOS State Corporation) and the Central Machine Building Research Institute (TsNIIMash) are performing joint vibration tests of one of the Universal Rocket Modules (URM-1) that form the core of the Angara-A5 first stage. These tests started in late 2017 and will take several months to complete.

Khrunichev Space Center: Successful Hot-fire Test of Angara 1.2 Service Module Conducted

The propulsion system of the light-weight Angara 1.2 Launch Vehicle Service Module, manufactured by the Khrunichev Space Center (part of ROSCOSMOS State Corporation), completed successful hot-fire testing at the Federal State Enterprise “Rocket & Space Industry Research & Test Center” (RSI RTC) test facility (Peresvet, Moscow Region).
