ILS ANNOUNCES ARRIVAL OF ASIASAT 9 SATELLITE AT THE BAIKONUR COSMODROME

The AsiaSat 9 satellite for Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) of Hong Kong, arrived at the Baikonur Cosmdrome in Kazakhstan aboard an Antonov cargo jet on August 27 in preparation for mission integration and launch aboard an ILS Proton Breeze M launch vehicle in September. AsiaSat 9 will be the third ILS Proton launch in 2017.

Khrunichev Space Center: The 100th launch of the Proton M was successfully completed

On August 17, 2017 at 01:07 Moscow time from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Proton Breeze M launch vehicle successfully launched a spacecraft into the orbit in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The launch was the 100th heavy lift for Proton M, which has been in use since 2001, and the 414th launch in the Proton rocket since its maiden flight in 1965.

ILS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF A 5 METER FAIRING FOR THE PROTON BREEZE M AND THE PROTON MEDIUM LAUNCH VEHICLES

WASHINGTON, D.C, March 7, 2017—International Launch Services (ILS) announces the availability of a 5 meter diameter payload fairing (PLF) for use with both the Proton Breeze M and Proton Medium launch systems for commercial launch services beginning in first quarter of 2020. The 5 meter PLF addresses the increased volume of today’s larger satellites required to satisfy High-Throughput Satellite (HTS) broadband capacity demands, stacked satellite height requirements, and supports multiple satellites for efficient deployment of large LEO constellations.

ILS ANNOUNCES TWO MISSIONS UNDER ITS EUTELSAT MULTI-LAUNCH AGREEMENT FOR PROTON BREEZE M AND PROTON VARIANT MISSIONS

International Launch Services (ILS) announces its first commercial shared launch using a Proton Breeze M with the EUTELSAT 5 West B satellite and MEV-1, the first Mission Extension Vehicle (MEV) developed by Orbital ATK.  In addition, ILS is pleased to announce the first commercial contract incorporating the use of the newly announced Proton Medium launch vehicle. Both launches are for Eutelsat Communications, one of the world’s leading satellite operators, headquartered in Paris, France.
