ILS Announces a New Contract for the ILS Proton Launch of the MexSat-1 Satellite

RESTON, Va., March 9, 2012 – International Launch Services (ILS) announces a new contract for launch of the MEXSAT-1 satellite on an ILS Proton for the Mexican government’s Ministry of Communications and Transportation, the Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT). The satellite is under construction by Boeing Satellite Systems of El Segundo, California.  ILS and Khrunichev are implementing a mission integration schedule to support a ILS Proton launch of MEXSAT-1 into geostationary transfer orbit from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in 2013-14.

ILS Proton Successfully Launches SES-4 for SES

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, February 15, 2012– International Launch Services (ILS), a leading launch services provider for the global commercial satellite industry, successfully carried the SES-4 satellite into geostationary transfer orbit today on an ILS Proton for SES of Luxembourg (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG). This was the 20th SES satellite launched on ILS Proton and the 70th ILS Proton launch overall.

ILS Proton Launch OF SES-4 Satellite Postponed

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, December 27, 2011 – The launch of an ILS Proton launch vehicle with the SES-4 satellite was postponed today for approximately 25 days for technical reasons associated with the avionics system of the launch vehicle’s Breeze M upper stage. The additional time is needed due to the required destacking and replacement of the affected avionics unit. The satellite is being launched for SES of Luxembourg and was built by Space Systems/Loral.
